The Detroit Festival of Speed and Style started a new chapter in the history of Detroit in August 2007, by bringing a broad cross section of some of the finest collector cars and motorcycles to Campus Martius Park. The three day event, included a driving tour with participants lapping the new Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix race track. Latin night – featured a display of custom low-rider's; and on Sunday a 100+ car show featuring an eclectic mix of classic and vintage cars, muscle cars, hotrods, super cars and, vintage and custom motorcycles.

Marrying the excitement and speed of car cruises and races with the style and sophistication of a Concours d’Elegance, the Detroit Festival of Speed and Style celebrates the automobile and its historical contribution in an attractive and inclusive weekend show - with no admission charge.

In September 2008 General Motors Corporation will celebrate a milestone in its industrial history. As one of the largest industrial companies in the world and the largest automobile manufacturer in the world, GM has survived and ultimately thrived in a world where many of its peers have long since faded into business folklore and legend. Its success has affected the lives of hundreds of millions of people around the globe and its accomplishments should be recognized and celebrated.

We invite you to join us at the 2008 event to celebrate General Motors Centennial and The Year of the Car, August 8 - 10, 2008. The event promises to be the must attend outdoor car enthusiasts event in all of Southeast Michigan!
